I have fallen in love with Animoto, this site is a great resource and I will use this for every presentation I do. This site allows the user to create a very unique presentation/movie using their own videos or pictures or by using the images and videos they have stored on their website. I am growing to love digital storytelling now and I am able to step outside of my closed box. I am learning about several new techniques that allow me to tell a story without it being boring or dull.
I'm so jealous! I'm really excited to try Animoto, but I haven't gotten my account confirmation yet! Bummer! Can I ask how you plan to use it with your students?
ReplyDeleteWhat do you like the most about Animoto - why does it capture your mind and make you so excited about using it?
ReplyDeleteBrianna - I love using Animoto too because of its ease of use. I am able to create professional looking movies in a short amount of time and all for FREE! I think it is so neat that so many of these web 2.0 applications have educator accounts that allow greater access or more features for teachers free of charge. Another neat digital storytelling tool that I like using is called Kizoa. It allows you to edit pictures right in application which can then be used to create a slideshow/story. Check it out sometime if you have a few minutes. I created a 4th of July movie from pictures of our family get together. One picture was of my son & my niece and nephews sitting on my parents' deck watching the fireworks. I was able to find an effect in Kizoa that had fireworks so when I put the effect on the picture, it actually looked like they were sitting on the deck watching the firework effect. It turned out great! :)
